Instant access to a stable of mentors, in one convenient place
Tentoring is an interesting but seemingly simple concept. If you’re yet to secure a career mentor but regularly find yourself in need of answers to those really important questions, Tentoring offers you instant access to a stable of mentors. Here’s how it works:
- Sign up to Tentoring – all you need is an email address
- Choose your skills – You may be called upon to offer advice as a mentor.
- Ask a question – Select a subject from the drop-down menu (this helps Tentoring to allocate the appropriate mentor), then type your question in the text box – guidance on how to structure your question is given.
- Wait for an answer – Responses to your questions are delivered to the inbox of the email address you provided at sign up. Tentoring guarantees you a maximum of ten minutes of a mentors time, so expect the email responses to be concise – great news if you need info quickly.
Tentoring has the potential to be a great resource for graduates and young professionals still finding their way. I’ve submitted a few questions (for the purpose of this post) and the responses have been speedy, with the advice from mentors proving very useful. However, until they expand on the current list of available subjects, the appeal of Tentoring will be limited.
